free domain names
Some of you know about my somewhat embarassing domain-buying habit, some of you don’t. It doesn’t matter. Now is the time of year when I give away some domains before they expire. Please browse the names I own below, and if you or anyone you know might want any of them, let me know by Valentine’s Day and I’ll transfer them to you for free. (From there, GoDaddy fees are still $8/year.)

Hello I would like tymbi.org and alittleofboth.com but I don’t understand do you give fot free or not?

Tim, I appreciate that you’re thinking outside the gift-giving box (a box overcrowded with chocolate and flowers, and those yummy little hearts.) The embarrassing fact is that my boyfriend would probably LOVE getting a domain name for Valentine’s day – if it was free. However, he wouldn’t want to pay for the $8/year recurring change. Where do domain names go when they die?

You’re just giving these domains away!? I think you might have more
luck (with your hobby) if you composed a list of possible uses for
these domains. In fact, I think I’ll put some uses down here and then
in a couple weeks you can post a fancy poll voting on the best
possible uses:
www.alittlebitofboth.com
- A web community for hemaphrodites
- A voting site to determine one thing, whether Catsup is better than Mustard or if they are equal condiments
www.attemptingtheimpossible.com
- A dramatic blog attempt to count every step you take for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!
www.followsigns.com
- A geomapping site that provides locations for creative output (ahem, zack?)
- A site for housing CCL/GNU way-finding data, as in icons and symbols
www.forhereortogo.com
- Ann Arbor based bicycle food delivery / jinrikisha (rickshaw) taxi service
www.gruntwork.com
- Podcasts from a fluffer anyone?
www.hotasblazes.com
- Simple weather reports based on temperature comparisons, as in Compared to Pheonix, Portland is not hot as blazes. That’s it.
- GPS/cellphone “treasure” games in which you only get “warmer/colder” levels of direction…. oh shit! you’re “HOT as BLAZES!”
www.liftwiththelegs.com
- Hot videoblog/paysite of girls doing squats.
www.oldbuddyoldpal.com
- A website time capsule: Sign up now and enter info about your current life and situations. Add photos, video, recordings, etc. to better identify yourself amongst others. Create an organic group of friends that will share “pod” in the capsule and submit one or two items from your stockpile into the group “pod.” Choose a time frame or date to open the capsule, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, 50 years, so on. Officially seal the capsule (print-out included) and it will automatically send an email reminder every year to the patrons, offering them the chance to update email info, home address, phone #’s. Plan a gala capsule opening event and wait. Realize that 20 years ago technology was so simple, you can’t imagine the tools you had to work with. “HTML? Geez what a joke!”
- Another myspace clone but for AARP members only.
www.singlewhammy.com
- A collection of mediocre “burns” to use against anyone anytime anywhere.
www.tymbi.org
- TIM! you should keep this for yourself. I’ve always wanted to call you Timbi (or Tymbi) and this gives me the chance! It’s like calling you “Tiger” and getting away with it… guilt free!
Oh, and finally:
www.fleshcreep.com
- The new home of Vinh Nguyen, meximese or whatever you want to call me. As in Vinh: Flesh Creep
Let’s hear the ideas kids!

Let me just add that if anyone is willing to start one of these or the (possibly) upcoming site ideas, then I would be willing to work with a team to make the dream come true.
For example: Does anyone know any real fluffers? Or, is anybody out there willing to act the part of a fluffer for a series of youtube SUPEREXITOS!?

Clyde, I transfer them to you for free, but after that, you have to pay the typical domain registration fee of $8/year to GoDaddy or whatever registrar you decide to transfer it to.
Vinh, I have to say my favorite idea is the “Hot As Blazes” GPS ‘treasure’ game. How fun would that be? You move a step in one direction, check again, and the site says “Getting warmer!”…
I’ll let everyone know by Valentine’s Day who got first dibs on which domains.

Although not the full on collector of Domain Names as Timothy, i too have a domain name that expires Feb. 14 that I am more than willing to transfer to anyone who wants it.
SEXSPIONAGE.com is up for grabs.
I orginally bought it with the intention of setting up a Reality-based web show that would involve poltical activists dating the sons and daughters of the evil empire. Needless to say, the venture capital for this project has yet to roll in. (Vinh - Hawker and Shill should take this project and run with it. I bet you could get 6 figures worth of seed money).
drop me a line at zackery@gmail.com if you want it.

I love it. Bluish Barn: the place where unused domains go before they expire.

Allright buddy, the time has come. Who get’s what? We’re all dying to know.
February 14th, 2007 at 2:01 pm
I thought maybe someone I know would have some use for one of them. No one does, so I’m putting most of them on eBay together as a lot, with a starting price of 1 cent and no reserve.
